For those that have yet to open the FOA Alert Email on Telemedicine, I would suggest that you take a moment to read it. Please, click on the link provided and then read a bit about the company's background supporters.  Scary times may be in the future for our profession.  The FOA as an organization is working to protect us, as OD's, and the misrepresentation made that this is an exam.

Pass this on to any nonmembers that may not have received it.

Volunteer today to help us provide free Medical, Dental and Vision Care to over 3,000 people in Ocala!

Our target population is the homeless, indigent, uninsured and under-insured communities in the Ocala area.  Whole-person care will include dentistry, vision care, primary care plus lifestyle medicine and chaplaincy services.

In anticipation of the 3,000 attendees, we need your help in the Vision Services Department!  Patients will be flowing through several stations including Pre-Screening, Triage, Refraction, Optical and Continued Care/Referral. Within each station, Optometrists will be assigned, with the largest demand in staffing the portable/tripod refracting lanes.

We have partnerships with Essilor Vision Foundation, VSP Mobile and the Lion’s Club of Ocala for resources, equipment and volunteers.

Parking and entry are provided. Proceeds benefit VOSH Florida missions. Sunday is the final day of the tournament, always exciting. But it is also Mother’s Day so not everyone can come out.
